Description

This template is used to create a reference with a footnote that links to a book's chapter summary of a Emma M. Lion book. It can also be used to insert a simple link to a chapter summary instead of a reference. For more information on using references, see Help:References.

Usage

To use, include {{emma ref|BOOK|DATE}}

  • Replace BOOK with the appropriate abbreviation from the table below, or the full title of the book.
  • Replace DATE with the appropriate date. All date formats should be accepted.


Basic Usage
This example displays the basic usage of the template to create a footnote with a link to a specific chapter on a Summary page.

Notes

Nickname a Reference for Repeated Use
If you use the same reference multiple times on the same page, you can assign that reference a nickname by passing name=. Then using {{ref}} with the same name= parameter for every other use of that reference.

Emma M. Lion arrived in London.{{Emma ref|e1|March 5, 1883|name=5 March}}

She moved into Lapis Lazuli House.{{ref|name=5 March}}

Plain Link, Instead of Reference
Occasionally, you may find it useful to insert a plain link to a chapter summary instead of a reference footnote. (Such as when inserting a reference in an infobox.) To do this, simply append link=y at the end of the template call.
