Description

This template is used to create a reference with a footnote that links to a book's chapter summary of a Emma M. Lion book. It can also be used to insert a simple link to a chapter summary instead of a reference. For more information on using references, see Help:References.

Usage

To use, include {{emma ref|BOOK|DATE}}

  • Replace BOOK with the appropriate abbreviation from the table below, or the full title of the book.
  • Replace DATE with the appropriate date. All date formats should be accepted.

Basic Usage
This example displays the basic usage of the template to create a footnote with a link to a specific chapter on a Summary page.
You Type You Get
Lapis Lazuli House is located on Whereabouts Lane.{{Emma ref|e1|5 march 1883}}

== Notes ==
<references />

Lapis Lazuli House is located on Whereabouts Lane.[1]

Notes

Nickname a Reference for Repeated Use
If you use the same reference multiple times on the same page, you can assign that reference a nickname by passing name=. Then using {{ref}} with the same name= parameter for every other use of that reference.
You Type You Get
Emma M. Lion arrived in London.{{Emma ref|e1|March 5, 1883|name=5 March}}

She moved into Lapis Lazuli House.{{ref|name=5 March}}

== Notes ==
<references />

Emma M. Lion arrived in London.[1]

She moved into Lapis Lazuli House.[1]

Notes

Plain Link, Instead of Reference
Occasionally, you may find it useful to insert a plain link to a chapter summary instead of a reference footnote. (Such as when inserting a reference in an infobox.) To do this, simply append link=y at the end of the template call.
You Type You Get
{{emma ref|e1|3/5/1883|link=y}}
Emma: Vol. 1, 5 March 1883

Accepted Abbreviations

The following abbreviations are accepted, as defined by template {{b}}:
