Description
This template should be added after statements in articles that should have some type of citation. Using the template automatically adds the article to Category: Articles in Need of Citations.
This template is one of several Editorial Notations.
Usage
| Tag Only When just
{{cite}} is passed, it will add a superscript note that says "[citation needed] ". When you hover over it for a moment, a pop-up message will appear that says "A citation is needed for this statement.". | |

| Reason Parameter When
reason= is passed, it will replace the text "A citation is needed for this statement." in the pop-up message with your input. | |
