History

Meeting with Emma

Mr. Penury had the unfortunate duty to inform Emma that her fortune had been squandered by Archibald Flat. Emma believes he is partly to blame for Archibald's wanton and profligate spending of her inheritance. Mr. Penury defends himself, stating he wrote to Emma on several occasions, but it is revealed to have been a false address Archibald had given him. In recompense, Mr. Penury agrees to immediately turn control of Lapis Lazuli's accounts to her, despite Emma not being of age. He also agrees to aid her in finding a path to financial security.[1]
