—Emma M. Lion on The Tenant[1]
The Tenant is the current resident of Lapis Lazuli Minor.
History[edit]
The only thing known about The Tenant's origins before arriving in St. Crispian's is that he had been abroad since he was young.[2] Upon arriving in London, he moved into Lapis Lazuli Minor.[1] Just before his arrival to St. Crispian's, Agnes had an encounter with The Roman in which he warned that "a man of war comes to [Lapis Lazuli]".[3] Agnes assumed he was warning about the imminent arrival of The Tenant.
Relationships[edit]
The Tenant's only known relationship is that he is friends with Chambers, the owner of a gentleman's glove shop in St. Crispian's.[2]
Appearance and Personality[edit]
The Tenant is tall, with broad shoulders and looking to be about thirty years old. His most distinctive feature is that he walks with a limp. When he first arrives to Lapis Lazuli he wears an unkempt beard, but after settling in is clean shaven.[1] Chambers described his disposition to Archibald Flat as "a good man, although with some unusual views."[2]
