Emma M. Lion on Agnes[1]

Agnes is a Scottish housemaid and cook. She currently works at Lapis Lazuli House.

History[edit]

Early Life[edit]

Agnes was born and raised in Scotland near the English-Scottish Border. Her mother, intending her to work for a wealthy English family, trained her for the service. This included dialect training to erase her Scottish accent.[2]

Work at Lapis Lazuli[edit]

In September of 1882, Agnes was hired by Archibald Flat to be the housemaid at Lapis Lazuli House. Shortly after she was hired, the cook at Lapis Lazuli quit and Agnes was given all cooking responsibilities as well.[2] She keeps rooms behind the kitchen on the ground floor of the house.[1]

Relationships[edit]

Family[edit]

Agnes' Mother[edit]

Agnes gives great credence to the opinion of her mother, a woman she claims "has an opinion about everything."[2]

Others[edit]

Emma M. Lion[edit]

Shortly after returning to Lapis Lazuli, Emma enlists Agnes to help her settle into her rooms.[3][4] They quickly form a congenial relationship, with Emma occasionally spending time with Agnes while she works.[2]

Appearance and Personality[edit]

Agnes is skinny, with freckles and straw-colored hair.[2] She generally speaks with an English accent, but slips back into a Scottish one when excited or agitated.[5]
