History
When Emma M. Lion was young, Saffronia would visit Lapis Lazuli to receive critiques of her work from Declan Lion.[1] She intends to return from Venice to St. Crispian's in June of 1883.[1]
Relationships
Declan Lion
Declan was a mentor to Saffronia in her work as an artist. Saffronia credits Declan's brutally honest critiques of her work as what propelled her talent forward.[1]
Emma M. Lion
Saffronia and Emma became close in the time when Emma was young and Saffronia would come to Lapis Lazuli to receive critiques of her work from Emma's father. Since Declan's death, Emma and Saffronia have remained close, mostly through correspondence. When Saffronia returns to London—to her home that is just up the lane from Lapis Lazuli—Emma intends to ask her to be her chaperone.[1]
Appearance and Personality
Saffronia is described independent, intelligent, and unafraid to speak her mind.[1]
